Organised by running for runners, this free event is open to all runners, over the age of 18.
Whether you come for the challenge, the views, or the post-run breakfast, we'll make sure you get a warm welcome!
Starting at Almondbury Cricket Club, our undulating 10k route winds through Almondbury Village and climbs up to Castle Hill, offering spectacular views over Huddersfield before looping back down to the finish. It’s a scenic and rewarding route, run entirely on surfaced roads with clear kilometre markers and a mid way water station.
All finishers will receive a shiny medal to add to their collection, and there will be prizes for the first three men and women across the line.
Parking is limited at the cricket club, but there’s plenty of on-street parking nearby on Fernside Avenue and around Almondbury Village – just be considerate of local residents. Please note that there will be no road closures on the day, so runners are asked to stay alert and run with care. We'll also have loads of fantastic marshals to guide you around safely and cheer you on from every twist and corner too. There will be a bag drop on the day and there are toilet facilities at the Cricket Club.
After the run, we’ll be serving up bacon, sausage and veggie breakfast sandwiches, along with tea and coffee. So, remember to bring along a couple of pounds or a card if you'd like to refuel. We'll also be holding a raffle, with all proceeds going back into the club to help support events like this in the future.
Places are limited to 100 runners, and we expect them to go quickly.
