For one evening only, Almondbury Striders bared all... well, their wrists anyway! 

On a beautiful summer evening, watches were nervously unclipped, phones handed over, and after studying the route and predicting their finish times, everyone set off into the evening sunshine with nothing but white wristbands where their watches once lived.

The predictions were impressively close, with Tony taking top spot, Andy finishing second and Sylv third.  

Our strollers were equally impressive, with Sarah pounding her way to victory and Jeanette in hot pursuit.

Once everyone had been safely reunited with their beloved gadgets, we tucked into a fantastic curry cooked by Charlie before celebrating the end of our Couch to 5K programme. 

After nine weeks of determination, encouragement and brilliant progress, our graduates collected their medals with pride and officially crossed the finish line of the programme.

Congratulations to everyone involved. This chapter may be over, but their running journey is only just getting started.
